Czech Republic – 8 January 2010 - Mavel, a.s. announced the commissioning of the 1.7 MW Dobrzen Hydroelectric Power Plant (the “Dobrzen HPP”) on the Odra River in the town of Dobrzen Wielki, Poland. The owner of the project is PGE Energia Odnawialna S.A. Warszawa (formerly ESP SA Warszawa).
Mavel provided two Kaplan double regulated horizontal PIT turbines type KP3200K3. The turbines have runner diameter of 3200 mm and three runner blades. Mavel also supplied generators, gearboxes, hydraulic units, lubrication and cooling systems, electrical and control systems, trash racks and cleaning machines.
Dobrzen HPP has net head of 1.9 to 2.4 meters and flow of 96 cubic meters per second. Each of the generating units has 850 kW of installed power. The commissioning was December 2008, 24 months from contract signature.
