Czech Republic – 4 June 2009 - Mavel, a.s. announced that it received the notice to proceed for the provision of four turbines and related equipment for the Lovosice-Pistany I. hydroelectric power project (the "Lovosice HPP") on the River Elbe in the Litomerice District of the Czech Republic. The project is owned by RenoEnergie a.s.
Mavel noted that the contract was signed in April 2008 when engineering work began. Notice for production commencement was received in January and commissioning is expected in the fall of 2010. The site has nominal net head of 1.9 meters and total flow of 160 cubic meters per second.
Mavel will supply four horizontal Kaplan double regulated PIT turbines type MAVELKP3000K3, each with runner diameters of 3000 mm and three runner blades. The company will also supply for each generating unit, the gearbox, generator, hydraulic, lubrication and cooling system, cleaning machine, trash racks, electrical and control system.
Each generating will have 662 kW for total plant installed power of 2,648 kW. |
