Mavel Names Ken Hostler North American Representative

Benesov, Czech Republic - September 2002 - Mavel, a.s., a Czech manufacturer of turbines and related technology for hydro-electric power plants from 2 kW to 20 MW, announced the appointment of Ken Hostler as its Representative for North America.

As Representative, Hostler will be responsible for the sale of all Mavel products and services in North America. This is a new market for Mavel, which has focused its sales efforts to date in Europe. The Company is the lead supplier of technology to small hydro-electric power plants in Central Europe and has installations in almost every country of Western Europe.

Hostler worked for 16 years for Voith Seimens. In his most recent position with Voith, he was the Regional Manager for the sale of Voith Seimens equipment and services in the Northeastern United States and Canada. Prior to his sales responsibility, he spent nine years as a Field Engineer, supervising or participating in the installation and/or repair of projects in the United States and Europe. He also worked as a Product Engineer.

Mr. Hostler has also worked in sales in other technical industries; lives in Pennsylvania and has an Engineering Degree from the Williamson School.
